E-mail and Mailing Lists

Mailing lists
If you subscribe to one of the Site’s mailing lists, your address will be exposed to any other subscriber. The list archives of most of the mailing lists are public, and your address may find itself quoted in messages. Mails are usually not deleted or modified, but it may be done in extreme cases.
Information email addresses
Some emails may forward mail to a support queue at HI-HDD@mmm.com. A team of subject matter experts (SME) from 3M may view them and answer them. Mail sent to the system is not publicly visible, but is visible to this group of SMEs. By sending email your address may become public within this group. The SME team may discuss the contents of your mail with other contributors in order to best answer your query.
Deletion of Content
Removing text from this Site does not permanently delete it. On normal pages, anyone can look at a previous version and see what was there. If a page is "deleted," any user with "administrator" access on the wiki can see what was deleted. Information can be permanently deleted by individuals having access to the servers; however, there is no guarantee this will happen except when necessitated by legal action.
Children and Parents
This Site is not intended for persons under 13 years of age. 3M does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information about children on this Site. If your child has submitted personal information and you want such information deleted from our records, you may Contact Us to do so.
